Step-by-step: where to grab your CAPI token in Events Manager and what to avoid.
In Events Manager, open your Pixel and go to the Settings tab.
Scroll to the “Conversions API” section and click “Generate access token”.
Copy the token value (it starts with EAA...). Paste it into Droplink and we will encrypt it at rest.
Do not share this token publicly; treat it like a password.
If you rotate the token in Meta, update it in Droplink immediately to avoid missing server-side events.
Tokens are scoped per Pixel. Make sure you are in the correct Pixel when generating.
Use Meta’s Test Events in Events Manager and trigger your CTA in Droplink.
You should see server-side events appear with the test code. Remove the test code before running live campaigns.
